7th August 2018With infrared technology it is possible to "see" heat.
By doing regular infrared scans it is possible to detect faulty equipment before it breaks down.
The heat can be "seen" in the infrared image (Left) and the damage can be seen in the three pictures below.
We have the capability to do infrared scanning from a helicopter or from the ground.
We have detected in excess of 100 hot connections and faulty equipment in substations and on transmission lines over the last 6 years.
